Firstly, welcome to the pound! wOOf!

Ok, back to the problem at hand - we need to check a few things : (I'm assuming you have a 5EMA or 5EMA+ board)

1. Do you only have the 2 x 32MB SIMMs installed? (no DIMMs?)
2. Are they 70ns or faster?
3. Can you try a different set of 32mb SIMMs?
4. Have you checked the BIOS memory settings? - under CHIPSET FEATURES, you need to set the DRAM timings for 60 or 70ns FP/EDO. You also need to check that you have the ECC/Parity checking disabled under BIOS FEATURES.

Note that the manual states you can't mix EDO SIMMs with DIMMs, or you will enounter errors.

Normally, GPEs are from faulty or mis-matched memory. This does not mean that the memory itself is always bad, it could mean that the interface between the mainboard and the momory is either not properly configured (BIOS settings) or is dirty/damaged. Check the SIMM slots carefully for bent and/or dirty pins.

Here's hoping this helps.
