Hide behind a bush and make a noise like Windows.

Here's how to force a BSOD in Win9x and Win2K.
Use VMware if you want to capture them.
Win9x
=====
Access the floppy drive or CD (e.g. with Windows Explorer) and eject the floppy/CD while it's being used.
Win2K
=====
Go to Registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\i8042prt\Parameters
Create a DWORD called CrashOnCtrlScroll and give it a value of 1
Restart.
Hold down the right Ctrl key and press Scroll Lock twice.

This might work for NT.
Use VMware, again, if you want to capture it.
Install NT.
Install some SCSI drivers and remove the IDE drivers (SCSI control panel applet).
Reboot.
Hopefully you should get a BSOD due to 'unavailable boot device'.

I have to ask.... HOW IN THE HELL DID YOU KNOW THAT ONE?
I'm very impressed.

I use X-Setup. One of its plugins is for manually initiating a BSOD in Win2K. I just looked at the plugin code to see which registry key it manipulated.

This article explains why MS included such a seemingly pointless 'feature' in Win2K...
