went to muhir.net to look at some of his screenshots and to download a few skins for gkrellm. Noticed his rather cool looking themes and so I went over to kde.themes.org.
Downloaded a few themes that by the preview pics have transparent terminal panels and the menu bars. Totally cool looking. However when you install them via look-n-feel they arent transparent.
Is this a gimic or can you really set these up to be transparent and if so how?? |

By default they are not transparent - you'll have to enable that. I don't know now to do it "from memory" but I'm sure someone will chime in here any minute and save the day.

Talk to me csign.
I'm generally not into themes and looks, but that effect is just really outstanding.
I'm reinstalling LM8 right now on my BP6 and have elected to install all the window managers. What is Eterm? Just a terminal window.
What is the benefits of one window manager over another?
Wont I be able to do the same things under any of them basically?? |

Alrighty, looked at enlightenment, all I can say is.. huh? Took me several minutes just to figure out how to log off. Not for me yet.
Looked at Gnome, liked it except for the Nauticus crap. Like the home directory of KDE much better.
Did like the ability to change my font colors after I made the term transparent. Cant do it in KDE, or am I missing something.
Oh, heres my progress so far.
still havent figured out the lm-sensors yet. Damn I must be stupid, everybody keeps telling me it is so easy to do. |

E is userfriendly for its users not for causule users. You get the menu with the middle mouse button. Eterm is an xterm program just as konsole, rxvt and naturly xterm. If you have installed it(don't know if it is standard installed) you will see it under terminals. |
