speed of cpu

This PC i am on is a little 233mhz and when it boots it says it is clocked at 233 which i guess is right..... right?..Now my other one see's the amd 1800+ but says it is clocked at 1533mhz... shouldn't it be 1800?

That would be AMD's marketing. Your 1800+ is comperable to the competitions (Intel) 1800 mhz visa-vi but runs at a clock speed of 1533.

i'd leave it alone, unless you have adiquate cooling and the know how to overclock the cpu.

Experiment with overclocking the 233mhz first... Smile You should be able to run the multiplyer to 2.5 and FSB to 100mhz. Big Smile
