Is it hard to use these both together on a Windows system? Any good tutorials or places to start? |

i think i know what you're trying to use it for. we tried using it for that too, but the guy who was working on the data layer gave it up and ended up just using flat files.
let me know if you get it to work, i'm sure it'll work a lot better for you then flat files, and you can get rid of a lot of parsing code by writing intelligent sql statements.
good luck! |

Another option is to use XML. Here's one I liked:
http://www.firstobject.com/dn_markup.htm
There's an eval version for non-commercial use, commercial license is $249. It's a C++ class. |

that looks a lot better then microsoft xml services, which i had to work with on a previous project. i'd like to stay away from COM for the rest of my life if possible |

Dundas' Ultimate Toolbox is kinda expensive, but every powerful. Lots of cool classes and a kick ass XML parser, better than the first one I linked. I bought both because Dundas' UT libraries aren't WinCE copatible while CMarkup is. |

Hmm, those tutorials are ok, but I was looking more for a specific wrapper class that someone could recommend? |

what was wrong with mysql++? it looks like a nice OO way to get at MySQL.
here's the manual in case you were lazy: http://www.mysql.com/documentation/mysql++/ |
