I ran across a review on custom painted cases by a company called Northwind Graphics. They do a professional job using automotive materials and procedures and the pictures in the review completely sold me. Unfortunately, their website is blank. Has anyone heard of these guys? Any idea if they went down the tubes or just have a new site with no redirect?
Alternately, does anyone have any links for companies that do similar work? I'm interested in having a case done, preferably incorporating a logo I'd submit a graphic for but I don't want to spend an arm and a leg. |

I think we have talked about these guys in the past and I think they were actually featured on the ScreenSavers once. They were located in Northern Wisconsin but I have not heard much of them since.
What is really weird is that the webpage comes up blank without a 404 error. |

It appears that someone recently bought that domain name
Whois wrote:Domain name- NORTHWARDGRAPHICS.COM
DNS servers-

NS2.RACKSHACK.NET
Created- 2003-08-11 12:45:00
Expires- 2004-08-11 12:45:00
and Google's cached page reads like an xXx Pr0n site |

Yes, Northward, thats what I meant. And that's the pic I was speaking of, I had forgotten that the review I read was here, lol. And that's how I discovered LBD. Wow, when you don't take notes, life continues to surprise you! |

Oh my.
If it weren't for the court order I'd relate to you a story that really ties in with that review.
Oh my. |

You could always just get a case with a window built into the side, then confer with your local Plexiglass shop about etching a logo onto the window (that's what MaximumPC magazine did for its 2003 Dream Machine, though they say it costs ~$125). Don't know about getting logos painted onto the case, though...
I hate to tell you this, but back when I first read the article and looked around Northward Graphics, getting a really good-looking customized case costed over $300. Don't know about you, but that qualifies as at least an arm and a good part of a leg to me, though I'd probably buy one of their cases anyways |

Yeah, I was expecting that price range or higher, given the cost of materials and labor involved in auto quality paintjobs. Hell, when I get home maybe I'll just learn up on the stuff and do it myself |
