I have a dual processor capable MB that currently has a single Xeon 1.4Ghz CPU. I want to upgrade to a faster CPU, but I have a question concerning the Packaging Type. According to Intel the 1.4 Ghz has a 603 pin PPGA INT2. I'm looking at a processor that has a 603 pin PPGA INT3. Can anyone tell me the difference and if the INT3 will fit? Thanks. Question

From my guess, it will fit, but the question is will your mobo support it. From my understanding, the INT2 and INT3 refer to the core revisions of the processors.

You may need a new BIOS update from your Motherboard manufacturer.
