yeh I noticed that last night on newegg......my P4 2.4b is now only $160 instead of the $200 I paid....(which I could now get a 2.53 for) |

That XP2400 has been at $76.00 for a couple of months. I'm in no rush to upgrade (I'm using an XP1600 @ 1650mhz) so I'll wait for it to go even lower before I buy. I've never stayed at the top of the processor race. There's just no point to it for me. My games all run fine on what I have now, though I do still need a new vid card, so why go all out and spend $600 on a new processor? Not worth it IMO. |

me either, i could not see me spending 500+ on a cpu, my entire box was under 1,000. |
