I've been using it for months with my verizon dsl. It seems to make it slightly faster sometimes, hard to say other times. No problems with it.

I've tried them and they work. What you should try is Cablenut's program. Check it out here:

It helped alot of my problems with my cable.

I heard somewhere that a guy hacked his cable modem to get way better upload speeds.. Anyone know anything about this Question

the cable companies can detect these things as they'll notice unusual spikes in the network traffic coming from your node of the network or whatever and they *do not* approve of such hacks

however, there are some legitimate cable/dsl tweaks on http://www.tweak3d.net (bottom left of the page)
