how can i tell what ATA my hard drives are running at, i benchmarked my hard drive, and it got an extremely low score.. its a western digital 7200rpm with 2 megs cache

What OS are you using ?
You may be able to go into device manager, and view the proerpties of your IDE controllers to see if the drives attached are functions in PIO, or DMA. If you see (I belive) DMA2 that is ATA33 DMA4 would be ATA66 and DMA5 would be ATA100. Thse may also be specified as UDMA rather than DMA.

DTemp, as Zero_99 posted in the Free Software thread, does a great job at reporting just about everything on yer HD and the current setup if you have S.M.A.R.T. enabled through yer BIOS.

AIDA32 does a great job, too! Smile
