I used to run a watercooling setup with my old celeron 566. I had an aluminum Tidal Pool water block and a hydraulic cooler radiator off of an old Zamboni. I never really ran the thing without a peltier, so I don't really remember what the performance was like with just the water cooler. It was really quiet though. With the 94W peltier, on a celeron 566@1020 my idle temps were -14C and full load temps were around 0C. It would get into windows at 1070, but it was really unstable.

Back then I was running a Celeron 566@1020 on an Abit Slotket in an Asus P3B-F mobo. It is based on the BX chipset, and was a great mobo. Pretty dated now, but sure kicked ass then. My T-Bird 1.2GHz gets the same score in 3DMark2000 with my 32MB DDR Radeon as the cele @1020 did. Nobody has been able to match the performance of the BX chipset to date IMHO.

the BX situation has always interested mi in that INTEL make an excellent chipset and then poof can't duplicate! why? i just want to know why? if they could to that agian i think they would do hell of a lot better business then they are now. (plus lower CPU prices and no Rambutt). And it also begs the question why doesn't someone *cough*VIA/AMD*cough* take the time to sit down and figure out what the hell was that difference and copy it!?! that just mi thought on that situation...
