I know there are a lot of people in here who cook and a few who would like to learn to cook, so if anyone is as interested in sharing their favorite recipes as I am in cooking other people's favorite recipes then please feel free to share them with the rest of us! I will post a few here tomorrow, but just keep this little thread in mind while you make meals the next few days! cough >> BAM <<cough

First you get a cooler and fill it with ice
then you get in your vehicle and drive to the nearest liquor store.
Buy mass quantities of your favorite brew.
Take the beer out of the packaging and put it in the cooler with the ice.
Get back in your vehicle.
Drive to KFC
Order whatever chicken tickles your fancy.
Drive home.
Unload cooler and bucket of KFC beside your couch.
optional (strip down to your boxers and turn on tv)
Enjoy Ice cold beer and chicken at leisure..

Lycander's "Tushy Fattening" pudding delight.
Get those pudding cups snack packs. Carnations (?) is a good brand. I happen to used one particular flavor of pudding that tastes like butterscotch (feel free to add scotch). So with the pudding, add some Cocoa Pebbles cereal. At the time, I did not have the actual Flintstones Cocoa Pebbles but instead I had the Quaker imitation cocoa pebbles cereal. Mix that in the pudding however much you like. After sprinkling them in I like to crush them with a spoon and stir to create a nice pasty mixture.
Don't bother doing this with chocolate pudding. It's just redundant with the cocoa pebbles. |

Smooooooth.
I only have one good recipe that I can think of off the top of my head.
Gaucamole dip!!
4 avocados (sp?)
1/2 Red Onion, diced
3/4 - 1 Cup Medium Salsa (Maybe more. I never measure this, I just keep adding until it tastes good)
Splash of Tabasco
Splash of Lemon Juice
(optional) 1/4-1/2 cup of Mayonaisse
Cut the avocados in half. Remove the big ass pitt thingie. Scoop the soft stuff out of the skin into a bowl. Add all other ingredients. Mix. Add Salsa to taste (I test using some nachos).
Serve with nachos. |

Hmm ... favorite recipes ... I actually cook quite often so I have some good ones. The problem is I cook alot by taste so some recipes I can only tell you whats in it and a general method for preparing it.
I make one dish ... lets call it "Chicken a la yummy". I got the "recipe" from a professor of mine. Its basically chicken breast pan broiled in butter over Pasta du Jour (I like using a spicy linguini or fettucini myself);
Alfredo sauce with a bit of white wine drizzled over mixed vegetables which were boiled in a white wine and olive oil mix (I use asparagus pieces, artichoke hearts, mushroom pieces, and palm). Serve that with some green bean casserole and some fresh bread and you'll be happy.
I definitely like chicken parmesean too. I got a recipe for it online once that I always use now with only minor adjustments to the amounts of spices and things I use. I try and make it to taste, but its close to the recipe. http://www.hunt-wesson.com/lachoy/mushroom/recipes/chparm/
I have a really easy baked chicken recipe thats also very good. Hmm, I'm noticing a chicken trend here. Preheat oven to 350F. Then take 8 boneless skinless chicken breasts and toss em in a baking dish. You'll need enough swiss cheese slices to cover them. So go ahead and cover them. Mix well 1 can of cream of chicken soup with 1/4 cup dry white wine then dump that on top of the cheese covered chicken and spread it around. Then you'll need about a cup of herbal stuffing (crushed) to sprinkle over top of that creamy concoction you're now looking at. Then you drizzle 1/4 cup melted butter over everything and pop it in the oven for 45 minutes. Mmmm yum.
What else do I have ...
I make a really good taco salad. For the meat I cook it mostly in a skillet but before its totally done I drain the fat, add one Lipton onion soup mix and 3/4 cup of water back to the meat and finish cooking it. Gives it a very nice flavor. The rest is pretty self explanatory (lettuce, cheese, onion, olive, tomato, crushed Fritos on top) except the sauce. I make a quasi catalina dressing by adding equal part oil, vinegar, sugar and 3/4 ketchup. It sounds pretty gross but once you mix it up and dump it over a taco salad it tastes sooooo good.
Last night I made some really good chicken breasts that I cooked in 2 Tbsp Sherry and 2 Tbsp Soy, 1 clove garlic and 1 tsp ginger. Make that with some Italian style broccoli (steamed then drained then add red wine vinegar, olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, salt and pepper). Dont know amounts, just go by taste. Can't remember at the moment what we had with it.
Anyway thats all I can think of at the moment. But I'll think of more later. |

TACO DOG:
Microwave a hotdog until it is hot and wrinkly,
Put it on One piece of white bread at an angle,
Add one packet of Taco Bell Hot sauce and one packet of mild sauce (from the fridge)
Fold and eat....
I'm dead serious.... it rocks! |
