Post Posted: Sun Apr 27, 2003 7:06 am   Post subject: RAM Timing Reply with quote Back to top

i have no clue what RAM timing is all about - 2-4-2 and things like that. i just added a stick of PC3200 and i'd like to get my RAM running as fast as possible, while still keeping things stable.

i have one 512mb stick of PC3200 in the first slot and another 512mb stick of PC2700 in the second slot. i've had issues with the pc2700 stick and fast timings in the past, but like i said, i had no clue what i was doing.

What brand and model numbers are your DIMMs?

Generally speaking, you will be limited by the slowest DIMM that you have installed.

Unless I'm mistaken, chevy is part of general motors...

But perhaps we should get back on topic?

it is, that would be why i named general moters as "in the true spirit" of the ford/chevy argument.

[paul hogan]Thats not a truck ... This is a truck[/paul hogan]

My buddy has that exact truck only in white. The Dodge 3500 Laramie 4x4 with a 5.9L cummins turbo-diesel. 305 horsepower and 555 lbs-ft of torque. Its smooth and powerful, while towing 8 horses.

I'm actually thinking about getting the F-250 w/ the diesel for my next truck. I like the power of the diesels. If not that, then an Expedition.
