Allrighty, I thought this damm noise came from my new heatsink, but it's fomr my damm video card.

It's louder than my whole case!

Anyone got any sugestions for alternative coolers?

Passive cooling is preferable, the quieter the better.

It's also quite possible to replace the stock HSF with something else (e.g.: chrome orb).

Ugh.

This whole time the noise was caused by a wire JUST touching the fan.
I was wondering why it was running hot...

man, the louder the better, If you boot up your computers and the neighbors call in that they "may" know what happened to the jet intake that recently disapeered from the airport, then you know you got a true beast...
