|
I presently have a 40 mm cooler master #MW-410M12S sleeve fan and heatsink on my chipset which seems to be wobbling and makes a constant whirring noise. I would like to replace it with a quiet fan that fits into my existing heatsink which almost butts up against the cpu heatsink. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

Does it have push pins to keep the heatsink in place? You could always get the Vantec Iceberg all copper unit. Should be less than $20 at most places.
CompUSA has this fer less than $10 if you need something right away. |

How about this 40x20mm Sunon or this cheap 40x10mm Evercool? This 40x28mm Sanyo-Denki is overkill, and probably too noisy. This 40x10mm show-off is clear plastic with four colored LEDs . |

I'd just replace it with a Cyrstal Orb. Nice little heatsink on it and a decent fan. It has a more powerful fan then the Vantec Iceberg. I have a Crystal Orb cooling my GeForce3 Ti200 and it does a nice job. It is big enough to take up the PCI slot below it though, but that shouldn't be an issue at all in your situation. |
