Javascript. Its pretty easy to do, but I don't have the time right now to throw together a sample for you. I have one on my server here at home, but my server is down right now I'll try to dig it up for ya...

check out my site..
http://www.geocities.com/st4rsky
I think your taking about my mouse overs on the home page, right? YOu can do it a number of ways. THe first way would be to do a simple image swap (javascript). frontpage and dreamweaver make that really easy to do.
For my site, I used layers of text and the show/hide javascript. each one of the images (on the right) has a show/hide behavior associated with it. so when you put your mouse over that image, it shows the layes that you set to show, and hides the ones you set to hide. below are some links to some screenshots. Let me know if they help at all. I can take some better ones if these are not helpful.

hope that helps you

Fixed - if you are just putting in a URL you don't _have_ to use the URL tags around it. Just the URL is fine as long as you use http:// in front of it.

thanks rover your so sweet ... [ ]
you wouldn't believe how difficult it is to get good pictures these days.....[ ]
biomedical engineering is a whole crap load of stuff. It ranges from designing x-ray machines to dental implants. My concentration is electrical/embeded control.
for example. your wife gets pregnet and goes for a sonagram. My job would be to create a system that would decode the information from the hand-held-transducer thingie and create the picture. Its pretty cool.
