I never liked any of the Myst games, nice graphics but they don't move...or at least the first one didn't.

I liked it cause of the challenge.
As did I like Riven. |

I am a big fan of the Myst series. It is the calm surrealness that appeals.
Myst was fun but blocky.
Riven had insane puzzles, but very realistic locations.
Myst III:EXILE was surprisingly short, but had good puzzles, and an ability to actually look around (although not look and walk).
The graphics were a little dark in some areas, and you can get turned around easily in some locations.
I would recommend it as a good brain teaser. |

I really enjoyed the original myst. It ran real well on my 386, which is exactly why the graphics didn't move. There was no way a 386 was going to animate the incredible pictures in Myst. The game was definately a thinking man's game, there wasn't a lot/any action, just puzzle after puzzle after puzzle. Some of the puzzles were damn hard!! There was always a sense of accomplishment when you solved an especially hard one. |
