OCIA is haveing an overclocking competition. I don't know what the prizes are, if any, but you can read the rules here( http://home.cfl.rr.com/pheenix/rules.htm). It is also team based. I entered my Celeron 2 566@952 as Unofficially under Team Little White Dog. I figured I better not be official, I don't have the OK from any of the Little White Dogians. I know I can go higher. I can get into windows at 977, it's just a little unstable(3DMark crashes). The funny thing is that they aren't looking for stable. All you need to enter is a screencap of WCPUID. That proggie will always run if you can get into windows. Hell, I can probably get WCPUID to run at 1020 if I try hard enough.

The water block is in the works. I have until December 4, so it should be enough time to get the kinks worked out of water cooling my peltier etc. My PC100 RAM might soon pose a problem tho. I guess I'll see!!

Where's the link to the actual contest page. You posted that rules page... but not the other.

There doesn't appear to be much of an actual contest page. There are the rules which I gave you, and then there is a gallery of screencaps of other entries. The homepage of the site is http://home.cfl.rr.com/pheenix/ From there you can get to the gallery and the rules page.

If I could get my hands on 2 kick ass coolers I could crank mine up, but until then I'm stuck at 83Mhz[Sad]

My socket water block will be done next week. Hopin to get to 1100MHz with my Plll 800. (i'll pull everything, and through in a pci vid card to get higher . HEHE) I'll join team LWD.... hummer010 just let me know the details. ô¿ò

P.S i'll even give my Plll550 another chance. Was able to get to 733 but never raised the core voltage. And have since aquired a stick of PC133 ram.. Which ever gets better results i will submit it..
One there can only be
and i'm not it. ò¿ò

566's rule !

I have one, but it's not in an OC'able board (long story)

Hummer needs some of that BGA PC150 ram to get way over the top

I got an E-mail from the guys running the fcontest and they said they were going to beat the LWD team with a rolled up newspaper! Shocking Smile We can't let that happen now can we? Hummer's entry finally made it on the list http://home.cfl.rr.com/pheenix/oc10.htm

I'm doing some mods before I send in both of my systems.

I got my Cel2 566 to post at 1020, but my damn hard drive doesn't like the 40MHz PCI bus. I tried it both with the Promise Card and without, so it is definately the Hard Drive. I have heard that if you diable DMA, it might solve the problem, and for the purpose of this OC'ing competition, I am willing to give it a shot. I bought a water pump last night as well, so water cooled peltier here I come. If I can just get the thing to boot at 124FSB(1053MHz), then my PCI bus is running under spec at 31MHz. The lack of fsb options is my biggest complaint about the Asus P3B-F.

I just finished machining my water block. Gonna try to put it on my celeries i'm in the process of getting.

here's my water cooler thus far:

Water block/TEC clamp
TEC's sanwiched between 2 water blocks. one for hot, one for cold. cold water will be circulated by seperate pump to chips. Hot side returns to reserve and heater core.

heat exchanger
a new heater core out of a 1987 chevy caviler. gonna be cooled with 2 sunyon 200cfm 115v fans.

reserve/pump
now, i only have access to a 90 gph pump, but I'm still lookin around. I wanna get a 500gpm bilge pump or something similar. Pump is placed inside reserve to save space.

I'm gonna try 2 TEC's (unknown wattage Sad Smile). if that works out really well, i'll throw a third in there to get even colder. (1x2 system)
