Yep. I have a 300A Slot 1 processor and it is clock locked. I think that they were among the first that were truly clock locked. Many of the P2's before that you couldn't raise the multiplier, but you could lower it.

I have Dual 366's with a multiplier of 5.5 and a 66mhz bus
you can still raise the bus spead on them though. I run mine at 550 most of the time, with very few problems

Yeah, my 300a is a real classic. It will run 516 with an air cooled peltier on it. What a great chip, close to actually doubling its speed.

All I'm topping mine with is some big ol' FacAlpha's but they get me to the upper limit of the "El-Cheapo" ram I bought way back in the day.

One of my systems is a celery 366@550. All I did was set the bus to 100. No voltage increases were needed. Never had one problem, and its been running seti almost 24/7 since new. |

Su007, is that a flip chip design 366?
I have a slot1 366MHz celeron that will only get to an 83 MHz bus. 458 is all it can do..
Kinna disappointed me when i first got my hands on it. I also have a 400MHz slot1 celeron that will only go 75MHz bus...
One there can only be
and i'm not it. ò¿ò |

My dual FC 433s can only get to 83Mhz which gets me 540 with slightly better than stock cooling, but if I do anything CPU intensive the system gets unstable. I can run at 78Mhz without much problems unless it's a hot day outside which drives up the ambient temp causing the CPUs to get way too hot for me!

Yes, its the older version of socket 370. From what I remember, results varied alot by where the processor was made.. malay, philipines, etc. |

alot of the OC ability is the combination of the heatsink, and the thermal paste you are using (maybe even some Lapping if you're upto it)
my paste is getting old and nasty, so my system isn't always stable at 550, looks like it's time to clean it up, and slap on some arctic silver instead

actually, I'm gonna start with some GORB's then some TEC/water cooling action.
I'm in the process of building the water cooler now. Takin pictures as I go, so you can bet there will be an online guide. :)
check back for more details
