Hello, I am trying to set up a small network with a Linksys Cable/DSL router. For some reason I cannot access Win98 machines with my Win2k Machine. Do i need a domain machine or something like that in order for all the machines to work together? |

Nope... you should not have to.
Make sure that the workgroup for each PC is the same...
If you can utilize DHCP... you in theory don't need to worry about IP's. Otherwise... sequentialy number them 192.168.0.1/192.168.0.2/ so on and so forth.
Make sure that the windows for networking client is installed and the chosen login.
ummm... i think that's it.
I have a w2k, 98se, and winme networked via the netgear rt314. I let the router assign the ip's.
