My slot1 fan is going dead. I cleaned it with canned air this morning but it is spinning at half speed. Any suggestions on a replacement. Was thinking of the Golden Orb by thermal take. Found one this morning for $11. Also would like to have a couple of quite case fans. I have 2 on it now but are really loud. Any suggestions there? Thanks a million!

Panaflo fans are reputed to be very quite considering the amount of air they move. For heatsinks the Gorb is pretty good, but the Alphas are the best(IMO). Unfortunatly you have to pay a lot for the best.

Eagles may fly, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines!!

The Orb is ok but not the greatest. I have on on my Plll 500@733 with default voltage and it runs 96°F. I put it back on due to the power shit here in CA.(was running a water/pelt). Gotta save anywhere I can.. Sad Smile[(!]

Sometimes it sux to be me, sometimes it doesn't. Go figure

Has anyone used this hsf, GlobalWin VGS08? It has dual 5000 RMP fans, which sounds like it may be loud. Any comments?
